The Village of Rio Grande no longer operates its own water plant. In 2004, the Village began purchasing water from Gallia County Rural Water. Due to the increasing cost of operating its own water system, the Village felt it was in their best interest to begin purchasing the water.
The Village of Rio Grande operates and maintains a wastewater treatment plant.
The water and sewer service bills are combined. The current minimum bill is $37.75; $20.00 is for water services and $17.75 is for sewer services.
Water and sewer bills are mailed out on the 1st of each month and they are due by the 15th of that month. For any questions regarding water and sewer services, please call (740) 245-5089.
